To sell the services of a professional photo-processing lab and associated products.

TARGET AREAS :

THE BRIEF :

  • The site should demonstrate the high standards that exist throughout the lab.
  • It should be highly professional in appearance.
  • The navigation system should be simple, functional and interesting.
  • The colour scheme should adhere to the fact they are ™ Fujica products based processing lab.

THE SOLUTION :

The custom image we designed for the splash page generates a powerful impression of the business..... what this company is about.  The black background simulates the darkroom, the green is taken from the ™Fujica corporate colour scheme.

The navigation interface was given a consistent feel by using four more custom images . The site is not complex and users can extract the information they want quickly.

SITE PURPOSE : 

To sell photo-processing services films and associated products 

TARGET CONSUMER AREA :

Anyone owning a camera of any type requiring a fast competitively priced developing and printing service.

THE BRIEF :

  • It should emphasise the organisations dedication to developing customer relations and customer after care.
  • It should be useful to anyone wishing  to improve their photography
  • It should be flexible to adding new services as they are introduced
  • The corporate colour scheme should be maintained throughout the site.
  • It should help customers locate their nearest ColourCare distributor dealer.

THE SOLUTION :

The splash page impresses on the user the size of this company and of the resources it has available. 
The range of services is huge and varied, therefore needed to be broken into smaller sections.
The Photo wizard and problem wizard is designed to help customers improve their photography and identify problems with cameras or technique. Hits to these two sections should increase  as users return again for further information.

  • It should be useful and informative to prospective and existing boat owners.
  • The colour scheme and imaging should emphasise the serious nature of the business..
  • It should encourage client trust and confidence in the services available..

THE SOLUTION :

The graphic on the splash page conveys an understanding boat design.
The site projects a friendly image of a company that cares about its customers by giving them
sensible advise before they have a survey.
The text copyright is clear and jargon free giving an indication as to the quality of reports provided
The Help pages deal with problem areas of concern to boat owners. This encourages repeat visits and builds customer confidence in SeaSuveys.

SITE PURPOSE :

TARGET CONSUMER AREAS :

Antique collectors / gardening enthusiasts and collectors.

THE BRIEF :

  • The site should be bright and cheerful .
  • Photographs of tools and general stock will be required .
  • An outdoor flavour to the site will be needed.
  • It should encourage customers to register interest.
  • E commerce will not be required as customer contact is important in this type of business.

THE SOLUTION :

The splash page tells the user exactly what the site is about with a simple text animation and reception link.
The sound file attached to the splash page reinforces the "Gardening theme"
The main interface is bright, not too distracting and has clear interactive navigation elements.
The site does not use a database for the images of stock but they are accessed by the drop down menu on the stock overview page.
The design facilitates easy further development and if required E Commerce can be added at a later date.

FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS to encourage more traffic

  • A " Latest arrivals page " could be added .
  • A database connection for photographs of stock.
  • A help section assisting customers identify antique tools they have.
  • A purchase page for customers to offer items for sale.
